Time to hold a democratic vote upon the recieval of the following communiques: The leader of Alicornia has sent you the following communiques :
I know forming alliances with my alliance isn't very popular at the moment, and I know it isn't "your" alliance, but it would be very helpful to us both if we became allys. sent 2013-09-27 10:13:35
The leader of Alicornia has sent you the following communique : Hello there. Quite a nice alliance you have. I admire how strong it seems and how much you help each other. I was wondering if our alliances could help each other by forming an alliance of own.

I vote no for several reasons.
1) No details on what a given pact might entail are outlined. Are we talking full mutual protection? Optional mutual protection? Either way, I have problems with any pact that could make us obligated to go to war when it really doesn't benefit us.
2) Isn't very popular is right. I don't see how such an alliance would benefit us, in fact, it might bring heat from other entities upon us.
3) Call me a pragmatist, but what's in it for us? It doesn't really bring us any protection we don't already have, in fact, might make us vulnerable.
A trade agreement? Sure, I'd agree to that. But a military alliance? We should only cozy up to those who could actually protect us and help us grow. That's my two cents.

They would give us their uranium, alongside them being aligned with someone who could sell us cheap troops and aid us in time of war. I put the "weak pact-strong pact" option as a mutual defense pact could leave us vulnerable if we were dragged in, and so members of the ants could ask for an OPD or some other form of cooperation (like you have with suggesting trade). On one hand, it makes our alliance seem more involved with friends, on the other it might make us less independent. Here is more messages from the leader of their alliance marketing themselves:
And in a time of war, they will send troops to anyone who is in desperate need for free. 50k troops getting dumped onto someone might change the tide of a battle. sent 2013-09-27 11:28:36
The leader of Alicornia has sent you the following communique : Oh, almost forgot, We are allies with the Weyland-Yutani Corporation, and while they are busy right now, they will sell troops to allys for remarkably cheap. sent 2013-09-27 11:27:22
The leader of Alicornia has sent you the following communique : I would gladly give you all the Uranium I get my hands on. Your military is clearly stronger than mine, and would be much safer with you.

Well, my initial reservations aside, I'm glad to see that this has gone smoothly. May this alliance benefit both parties.
