Hello ant's. I'm Emily, former leader of the Neo Celestial Empire. I regret to inform many of you who may have already guessed that the servers for >Bloc have been pulled. >Bloc is now dead. Unless Rumsod magically starts caring about it again and puts it on a new server somehow, which is unlikely to happen. I have had a great time playing >Bloc and the Anti Alliance Group Armed Ant Gang was a bastion of decent people and I was very glad to be your ally. Many of my housemates, who aided you when you had that first name feel the same way. If you do wish to stay with many of the players, there is the Steam group (http://steamcommunity.com/groups/BLOCgame). Many players have banded together in a quest to find a better Nation Sim, Most of us have made amends with each other because any hatred is meaningless now, if you wish to join this the chat is in this link (client00.chat.mibbit.com/#blocparty@irc.synirc.net.) Also keep an eye out for a new nation sim similar to >Bloc coming out in a few months. Because Gott, Heidi, and Artouris have all announced plans to make there own nation sim. The best way of knowing when and what the names of these games will be is to drop into that chat every once in a while and ask. I hope to see you all there sometime. It has been great playing >Bloc with you all!

Hey Emily, thanks for you post. It warms my heart to be invited to join you guys in finding a new nation simulator, but I feel as if the excursion would be a waste of my time. Without /bloc/, in a sense, I'm liberated to go on to bigger and better things - from losing weight exercising to studying, as I'm finding my Degree extremely hard and time consuming. Bloc was for me a good and developing game with observable political development which conformed to certain models of power mechanisms. It was a game where high oil prices could inspire strong spirits for selling, and low prices would seem like a true bargain. Where multiple people would be rapidly clicking "declare war" on defeated inactivates at 7:59 and where nations were crushed and rebuilt through the ashes of old. What created the content of the whole game was its community who, although often petty and immature, helped shape the character of Bloc - with some role playing extraordinarily well. Whilst I was inspired to make an Ant Alliance with high virtues and true solidarity, in the process I met some nice people, who I'm glad to have had the opportunity to speak with. Amongst others, YOU are one such person. No doubt, our colony was growing strong and was set to storm the game with our operative principles. NO MORE is bloc, and I feel like I get too attached, too involved, and starting another game when the result of the last was its unsatisfying collapse is just too much for me. I've joined the BLOC steam just in case, as being able to contact some of you guys might be nice but as for now I have to say adios!
It was a nice ride whilst it lasted.

I'm really not surprised.
Ah, well. Can't say I'll miss all that petty goon nonsense much.

Seems like we, along with bloc, are back.
